I'm an American travel writer based in the Scottish Highlands.
Before settling in the mountains of Scotland, I spent nearly two decades in New York City, handling PR for some of the world’s most renowned musicians, authors, and cultural institutions. Then I bought a one-way ticket to rural Ireland, where I lived alone in a 600-acre forest in the wilds of County Kerry, restoring my connection to the outdoors. I’ve also lived in Stockholm and in Iceland where I built hiking trails within a remote nature reserve.
My writing is rooted in a love of nature, slower living, and traditional wisdom inspired by the earth. That’s led me to explore still-wild places, to learn about their histories and cultures, seeking to uncover land-based ways of living that hold meaning now.
